CRRT Machine donated to the Welisara Chest Hospital ICU

Proceeds collected from the GALA 2019 by SLMANA West successfully donated the much needed CRRT machine for the Welisara Chest hospital ICU. It was handed over to the Director of Chest hospital and Dr Dhammika, the Consultant Anesthesiologists in charge of the ICU. Nursing staff is being trained by a vender support team and the ICU nurses were already trained on the CRRT. All consumables will be provided by the Ministry of Heath. The CRRT machine is being housed in the ICU and used only in the ICU. Nephrologist from the Rangana Teaching hospital who comes on for consults will be the ordering physicians.
This hospital provides complex surgical support to the entire country and many lives will be saved by the availability of the CRRT machine.
